The Westfield Group - Plans to build one of Europe's biggest shopping malls in Milan
Slaughter and May, as a fully integrated team with Bonelli Erede Pappalardo, advised The Westfield Group, the world's largest mall operator by assets, on its plans to build one of Europe's biggest shopping malls in the fashion centre of Milan.
The Sydney-based group will invest EUR 115 million in two stages to buy a 50% stake in the site, which it plans to develop with Italian company Gruppo Stilo and Westfield expects the 170,000 square metre project will represent a total investment in the range of EUR 1 billion to EUR 1.25 billion.
The Westfield Group announced this proposed development on 12 August 2011.
