Texas Instruments Incorporated - Acquisition of National Semiconductor Corporation
Slaughter and May is advising Texas Instruments Incorporated ('TI') on the English law aspects of its acquisition of National Semiconductor Corporation (National) for US$ 6.5 billion in an all cash deal. The acquisition was announced on 04 April 2011 and has received US Antitrust clearance and the approval of National's Shareholders.
TI is an American company headquartered in Dallas which designs and manufactures semiconductors and computer technology for cellular handsets, digital signal processors and analogue semiconductors.
