MTR Corporation - Entrustment Agreement for the Advanced Works for the Shatin to Central Link

Slaughter and May advised MTR Corporation Limited in relation to an Entrustment Agreement with the Hong Kong Government for the Advance Works relating to the Shatin to Central Link. The scope of the Entrustment Agreement includes, among others, certain enabling works on the expanded Admiralty Station and the to be constructed Ho Man Tin Station and the reprovisioning of the International Mail Centre from Hung Hom to Kowloon Bay. It is anticipated that MTR Corporation Limited will enter into a further Entrustment Agreement with the Hong Kong Government for the construction of the rest of the Shatin to Central Link. The latest estimate for the capital cost for the construction of the Shatin to Central Link is HK$60 billion.
