INEOS - European competition aspects of joint venture with BASF
Slaughter and May advised INEOS, a chemicals company, on the European competition aspects of its styrenics joint venture with BASF SE. The JV is expected to make annual sales of over EUR 5 billion. The transaction was cleared by the European Commission on 01 June subject to the condition of the sale of part of INEOS' ABS production business in Europe. Slaughter and May also coordinated global competition filings.
