Ericsson - Sale of its share of Sony Ericsson
Slaughter and May is advising Telefonaktiebolaget LM Ericsson ('Ericsson') on the sale to Sony Corporation ('Sony') of its 50% stake in Sony Ericsson Mobile Communications AB, making the mobile handset business a wholly-owned division of the Sony group, for EUR1.05 billion in cash.
The transaction, which was announced on 27 October 2011, is expected to close in January 2012 subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.
