Cable & Wireless Communications - Acquisition of majority interest in The Bahamas Telecommunications Company
Slaughter and May advised Cable & Wireless Communications plc on its acquisition from the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas of a 51% interest in The Bahamas Telecommunications Company Limited, the exclusive mobile operator and a leading provider of fixed-line and broadband services in The Bahamas, for a consideration of USD $210 million (subject to adjustment). The acquisition was completed on 06 April 2011.
