Aviva - Sale of RAC

Slaughter and May is advising Aviva on the sale of RAC to The Carlyle Group for £1.0 billion. RAC is the UK's second largest roadside assistance provider.

The sale, which was announced on 23 June 2011, supports Aviva's strategy to focus on insurance and savings businesses in its priority markets and is conditional upon regulatory approvals.
