British Airways - European Commission accepts commitments on British Airways/American Airlines/Iberia

Slaughter and May is advising British Airways in relation to its transatlantic "metal neutral" alliance with American Airlines and Iberia. Airline ownership restrictions mean that European carriers are unable to merge with their US counterparts. The transaction was therefore examined under Article 101 TFEU. The Commission formally accepted Article 9 commitments from the Parties on 14 July 2010.
