Slaughter and May advised 3i Infrastructure plc as a member of Eversholt Investment Group, a consortium comprising equal stakes from 3i Infrastructure plc, Morgan Stanley Infrastructure Partners and STAR Capital Partners which has agreed to acquire Eversholt Rail Group, one of the three leading rail rolling stock companies in the UK, from HSBC Asset Finance (UK) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of HSBC Holdings plc.

The agreement was signed and the acquisition announced on 04 November 2010.
