Meetic - Acquisition of European operations of Match.com

Slaughter and May is advising Meetic, as an integrated team with Bredin Prat, on the acquisition of the European operations of Match.com. Meetic and Match.com are two of the largest online dating services in Europe, and the combination will create the clear pan-European leader. IAC will sell Match.com International Limited, the entity that houses Match.com's European operations, for an approximate 27% stake in Meetic plus a 5 million euro note. The transaction values Match.com International Limited at approximately euro 95 million.
 
Match.com's European operations include Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
