  • 30 Mar 2009

Slaughter and May is advising HM Treasury, working closely with Treasury Legal Advisers, on the resolution announced on 30 March, 2009 in order to protect depositors and provide a more stable and secure future for Dunfermline Building Society’s members.

Dunfermline’s retail and wholesale deposits, branches, head office and originated residential mortgages (other than social housing loans and related deposits) have been transferred to Nationwide, together with all of Dunfermline’s employees, through the exercise of the new stabilisation powers introduced by the Banking Act 2009.
