Origin Energy - Hostile bid by BG Group

Slaughter and May advised the Australian company, Origin Energy, in relation to the English law aspects of the approximately A$13.8 billion (£6.7 billion) hostile bid by BG Group plc. BG Group plc recently announced that the bid would not be increased and would be allowed to lapse. We worked alongside Clayton Utz who advised on matters of Australian law.
