Aviva - Outsourcing of administration services by Norwich Union Life

In one of the largest commercial arrangements of its type in the insurance sector, Slaughter and May advised Aviva plc on the outsourcing by its UK life business, Norwich Union Life, of the administration of almost three million of its life and pension policies to Swiss Re. The policies comprise conventional with–profits, unitised with–profits and non–profit business. Aviva plc announced the transaction on 7 March 2007 and Swiss Re will take on the administration from October 2007.
