Retirement of Slaughter and May partners

The following partners will be retiring on 30 April 2011:

 

Andrew Balfour

Andrew joined the firm in 1979 and became a partner in 1988. He has built an outstanding reputation for bank lending, debt capital markets and corporate treasury work. His clients include BHP Billiton, Ladbrokes, Pirelli and Tata Steel.

 

Richard Carson

Richard joined the firm in 1981 and became a partner in 1990. His work includes advising core clients such as ConocoPhillips, Taylor Wimpey, Europcar and Songbird Estates on a range of tax issues.

 

James Featherby

James joined the firm in 1981 and became a partner in 1990. He has been involved in a wide range of corporate and commercial work. Some of his significant work includes advising Lend Lease in relation to the Olympic Village and numerous projects for the Grosvenor Group

 

William Sibree

William joined the firm in 1986 and became a partner in 1993. He has been involved with all aspects of competition law, focusing not only on merger control but also on cartel, leniency and appeals work. His clients include Cadbury, British Airways, Unilever and, more recently, HM Treasury.

 

Lucy Wylde

Lucy joined the firm in 1984 and became a partner in 1993. She has worked in a broad range of practice areas, particularly in asset management, where she has worked with a wide range of clients including Legal & General, Standard Life, Scottish Widows and Fidelity.

Having been on secondment to the Treasury for the last 18 months, Lucy will be General Counsel at the Asset Protection Agency from 01 May 2011.
