"It's quite exciting because you do see the clients you are working for in the press, not only in the financial press but on the front page of The Times and The Guardian. It allows you to develop your confidence from an early stage because you aren't afraid of dealing with and working alongside people who are leaders in their respective fields"

Phineas studied Spanish and French at Trinity College Dublin.

He came to Slaughter and May on a two-week summer work experience scheme in 2004 and started his training contract in March 2008.

In his video, he talks about:

  • why he chose Slaughter and May
  • our culture
  • the type of clients he has been working for
  • the diversity of people
  • the benefits of becoming a multi-specialist lawyer
  • the volunteering work he has been involved in

What he is doing now...

Since returning from his six-month secondment to Bredin Prat in Paris, Phineas has qualified into our Tax group.
