Leading New Zealand law firm

My interview was more relaxed than I had expected and provided a great opportunity to get to know some of the partners. I also had the chance to chat with a solicitor and to discuss my options with HR, both of which were very helpful.
Training here is of the highest standard. Many of the sessions are led by outside speakers who help keep us up to date with all the latest legal issues. The Dispute Resolution training is excellent and available to associates of all levels - partners go along too. There is also a firm-wide programme called "OneGoal". This focuses on the non-legal and non-technical aspects of working in a law firm, such as client development and presentation skills.
There are a variety of volunteering opportunities here. I'm part of the Dispute Resolution team that act as Honorary Legal Advisers at the Citizens Advice Bureau office in the Royal Courts of Justice. It's a very trying time for a lot of people and, since many don't have their own lawyers, they really appreciate our advice. As well as being very rewarding, this work gives us great exposure to the other side of the law.
